They are - but they have some good draft picks and Saleh seems to be a pretty good coach. They'll have to come good again eventually

It'll take a while. Plus they're in the same division as the very good Bills and quickly improving Fish. Can't see a playoff spot coming anytime soon.

It’s really nothing like that. All NFL teams have effectively the same amount of money to work with. In a financial model designed to make all teams equal, and a draft structure that rewards failure, the truly remarkable thing is that they managed to be so consistently abysmal for two decades.

The Browns have drafted hilariously badly for those two decades. Leaving aside the picks from the last two / three drafts (which need another season or two to be properly assessed) the only decent picks they made were Joe Thomas and Alex Mack.

Browns 1st round draft picks '99 onwards.
