No, he had a Lamar-lite clone called McNabb and Captain Checkdown Alex Smith previously.

He has a first ballot hall of famer to work with now.
Lamar lite are you serious? Ridiculous comment.

You will say anything including toeing the line of being well you know, just to get your point across. You get way to defensive which makes you come across like a supporter of the scum across the park. Rat by name, rat by nature I guess.

People saying the Browns will win either have no clue what they are watching, or don't realize how bad the Steelers have been for like the last 10 weeks.

I mean McNabb isn't anything remotely similar of a QB to Lamar Jackson.

Only thing they have in common is their skin color. Might want to check your comp on that one. McNabb played an option offense at Syracuse, could move somewhat, but was more of a pocket QB.

His physical build totally different than Lamars too.

Like what on earth would propel you to that comparison, it's the first time I've ever seen it. And I live near Syracuse so McNabb is brought up quite often

Agreed.

McNabb and Jackson are nothing alike as QBs. Jackson has the Michael Vick-like ability to just take a game over all by himself with his feet or his arm. In today's pro game (with rules that keep him from getting killed for doing what he does the way he'd have been 10+ years ago) this will go much further than it used to.

McNabb was a solid QB for several years in Philly and got close but no cigar. Jackson is a generational talent, and they haven't managed to screw that up yet.

All right I got it wrong - I overestimated McNabb's running ability - and I thought he was a less accomplished passer than he was, having checked the stats I can see I was wrong on both counts.

However the fact remains he was an average to above-average QB, the original point I was trying to make was that Reid in the playoffs lost because of the likes of McNabb and Smith (IMO) and is now winning because of Mahomes.

Fair point. I agree Mahomes has put him over the edge. Reid does have weapons he never had outside in Philly. Outside of TO they never had any legit wr's during McNabb's career, and no TE like Kelce.

The offense as a whole is just built better.

They always had like 4 receivers that would make good number 3's.

I don't think Cleveland will win, just think 10 points is too many and think people should be a bit more careful with thinking the Chiefs are going to walk over everyone.

I don't think they'll walk over everyone. Not sure what to expect this game given KC play at the moment. I lean towards a blow out. I think Cleveland secondary gonna get killed by KC.

It's the best match up for KC. Indy, Baltimore, Tennesse all would have been more difficult in my opinion.

Even though Tennessee secondary is maybe just as bad. Maybe cleveland and Tennessee are the same. Good running game, bad at the back end on d.

Yeah the secondary thing is my biggest reservation but I look at the last couple months and see terrible defenses like Carolina and LV giving up points but hanging around. To me everyone is just assuming that KC is going to flip a switch and be more dominant than they have been. I really don't have a compelling reason to say that isn't possible but I personally just don't believe it until I see it.

Watch Superbowl 39 to see Andy Reids flaws as a head coach laid bare. The last quarter is a shocking example of his time management.
Mahomes and his style of play has overriden it to a certain extent, but its still there

Andy Reid....off of a bye...DYOR

All important Jaguars coaching update. I know you're as excited as I am.

Iiiiit's Urban. He and Shad had a lovefest on the yacht, and after consulting his cardiac specialist Coach Meyer is the man in charge.

He'll be bringing his shark eyes and adjustable character/talent spotting wiles to our fair city, where most Gators honestly still wouldn't buy the man a beer.

But, he does win. I give it an interesting five years.

Max. Won't be boring.

Fascinated to see how he does
