We could be onto a winner here. And I've been to Chicago.

Soldier Field if memory serves me.

This kid was also decent @ijjysmith

Imagine the career this guy would have had with modern medical technology. Until Barry Sanders, nobody could scare you like this guy, and Sayers was not the negative yardage guy that Sanders could be. So good, so short.

As a Cubs fan, I share a culture of Bears fans, though I was always a Dolphins guy from the Shula era when I went with the Cubs. I was on the ground floor to build the Jaguars fan base from the first ticket sale/club seat deposit, so I declared and left them behind at the time. (There's a long story behind the kind of fractures this left locally, as it took another ten years or so to shake out most of the remaining Dolphin diehards, and remember we were pretty good pretty quick. Dolphin Jeemy. What a whopper. - I also love that this is completely incomprehensible in L4...) It's no day at the beach, they're pretty dysfunctional most of the time, much like a certain Northside baseball outfit.

I actually quite like it.

I haven't got a clue what any of the technical [Poor language removed] means, but I like when they throw and run and catch and run and get smashed into bits.

Just to point out I haven't chosen the Bears 100% yet.

I sort of want to like The Jets but can't find a reason to!

Let me put it this way. You're in strange town with a good mate, who is local. You go out and spot an interesting looking young woman you'd like to get to know better. He looks you in the eye, lifts one eyebrow, and says "I'd swerve that, mate..."

J-E-T-S.
I'd. swerve. that.

So Jets it is I think.

One of these won a Super Bowl; the other is a stand up guy (and a decent player too)

Curtis Martin = quality. The stories I've heard from Alabama connections about the first guy would fill a book. Still, Joe's a good guy underneath - being Broadway Joe does something to you. Heck, he got his own TV sitcom for awhile or something. He was Beckham for a short while, and Suzy Kolber is undeniably kissable.

Watching is the best way to find a team to support, but since the season is closed you're out of luck for another 6 months to see most teams in action. You can do worse than paying attention to their rivals, however. Most rivalries are intra-divisonal, although there are some that stretch beyond the current divisions.

Bears hate: Packers, Lions, and Vikings (probably in that order), with a few other historic rivalries
Jets hate: Patriots, Dolphins, and Bills
