It's the moat americanised bullshit ever. We don't DO professional sportsmen acting like wrestlers or half time shows or cutting to te studio every 5 seconds. People who love american football may actually like the spectacle of the game I get that, even if it's absolute crap, but it's about 75% because it's the new 'cool' thing to do. Nfl hipsterism should be left in 2014.
And what about those of us who've been following the NFL since 1986 mate?

If you don't like the sport, fair enough. And you're right about the halftime nonsense. But the game itself is amazing.

I hope, when you're all crap at your jobs because you stayed up late because you're an nfl super fan with strong allegiances and your blood runs deep in american soil even though you were born in 1992 in Kirkby, you get sacked.

I'll bet you a tub of your favourite hair gel that most people could contribute more to the working world than you, running on no sleep at all.

And what's your beef? It's a pretty entertaining spectacle and quite an interesting game. Immensely different to (real) football so it's not like it's one vs the other, more just something else to enjoy. Sure, the ridiculous amount of advertising and 'Murica OTT stuff is mind boggling, but it kinds of just adds to the extravagant enjoyment of it all.

Underneath it all the game is quite interesting. Some very impressive athletes and a whole lot of tactical nous. The downside of course being that for every 8 seconds of play you get 3 minutes of adverts, but then that's America.

Surely makes Brady the best ever QB?

6 Super Bowls 4 victories - first and last(?) 13 years apart.

Has to go past Montana to the top of the list.

He's got to be at least on a par. Holds pretty much every record there is for a starting QB. To win Superbowls 14 years apart is pretty spectacular too.

Surprisingly, for such a perceived hipster, I've never been into it at all. That was my first Superbowl.

However unlike yourself -- GOT's resident myopic maestro -- I'm prepared to give things a chance, even if I don't presently understand or traditionally enjoy them. If you could open your narrow little mind as much as you open your gaping anus for strangers of the night, then you might not be so relentlessly unpleasant.

Should put that in your blog mate.

Shocked. I've learned over the years to never count out Darth Hoodie and Brady, but the Seahawks reminded me of that NY Giants team from a couple years ago - their d against our O was a nightmare match up - only worse. Not sure how I managed to go to sleep last night after that.

Agree with Robert Kraft* on his remarks about being about as special as the first one.

* wish Kraft would buy EFC... aside from having enough acumen with the sport to hire a great coach and support him - rather than run the team like a fantasy squad (Jerry, looking at you), and he's done a ton of philanthropy for the NE community. Between the Kraft Group and New England Patriots Charitable Foundation, they've given north of $100,000,000 out in charity from grass roots movements to Universities.

EFC could do far worse, and has.
