Panthers and Seahawks will be the battle of the bandwagons. I was hoping for some fresh blood to advance. Looking forward to the games this weekend.

I only just caught up with this season's games. I take it that if the Pats get bodies back they're favourites to win again? Brady with 5 wins would settle arguments between him or Montana.

Now that I have all of the feelings out of my system, I am happy with Washington's season. We were never a playoff team (no NFCE team was), and although I am still disappointed in the way they played last night, I think this was a huge step in the right direction. This year was supposed to be a rebuilding year but they played some great football. This comes to mind when I think about the progress: http://m.espn.go.com/nfl/rankings?pollId=1000&week=1

Congrats again to the Packers though and the Packers fans here on GOT. I'll be pulling for the Pack against the Cardinals so this loss doesn't look so awful.

I don't think the Pats can hold up against the Chiefs' pass rush even when healthy. Going into this weekend I would say it doesn't matter who comes from the AFC since the NFC looked to dominate, but now I am not so sure. Would love a Seattle vs New England revenge match though.

Home field advantage will count for something though, as will the Pat's post season experience. They've been poor in the last few games, granted, but course and distance specialists need to be respected.

A repeat of last season's SB would be a great spectacle, yes. Carroll must still have nightmares.

The Seahawks retired the number 12 in 1984. The bandwagon narrative doesn't fly with a fan base who has created a very hostile environment for well over 3 decades.

117 consecutive sellouts would also debunk this myth.

Sure we've picked up some along the way, but every good team does.

That's true. Going on the road to Foxboro and getting their 12th consecutive win is no small order, but if there is an AFC team that can beat the Pats it's the Chiefs.

I'm sure Carroll has chewed through 4,000 packs of every time he thinks about it. Still funny to this day.

Definitely. No argument there. Success bring them out in full force. It just seems that their "loyalty" will be up for grabs this weekend. Not implying you're one of them, it just seems from my perspective on social media that the Super Bowl win brought along a lot of non fans.

Given the different eras (free agency and league-wide parity), I think Brady has already eclipsed what Montana achieved. Those Niners teams were loaded (Roger Craig, Clark, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, etc.). Compare that to the receivers that Brady has had.
