I could only post this after they got a win. They could never have seen that the Jags and Niners would both reject their honest effort to fumble that first pick away.

I don't really like gridiron but I enjoyed some of the post season college bowl games and I'll look at the Alabama V Clemson final. College stuff seems way faster and more engaging than the NFL stop start borefest.

Rogers is rolling. The others are just about keeping up! The Giants won't fancy a trip to Lambeau. Looking forward to a Clay Mathews / OBJ match up.

Yes there is a chance we could see a Gummo Manning 4 INT special but they don't really match up well against the Giants.

Refs adopt a "let them play" attitude in the playoffs. WRs face a lot more contact/holding and teams that like to chuck it down the field suddenly look a lot more pedestrian (sorry Falcons!). Denver did this last year against the Pats, the Pats used to do the same against the Colts/Manning and the Seahawks in their SB year just held every play and dared the refs to call it (plus if they do call it, its just a 5 yard pen). The regular season is all about offense and the passing game. The playoffs are about defense and a running game. I don't think the Packers have either.

AFC wild card picks

Seahawks over Lions - Seattle has injuries all over the place but Lions are just a 6-10 team that got lucky.
Giants over Packers - low scoring, I'm starting to think the Giants are for real. Best D in the NFL right now.

Dolphins over steelers - upset? The steelers are somehow favored by 10. I just can't shake off that beatdown the Dolphins put down on the steelers in week 6. Mat Moore is pretty good too.
Houston over raiders - Houston sucks, but they have a tendency to pull out these low scoring rock-fight games.

Agree with you re: Seahawks and Giants; Hawks are better than Lions (but would not be surprised with another late Stafford W*). Something is broken in Green Bay and a few late Ws don't change my view of that. Can't see the Steelers losing to this Fins squad, but I've not watched a lot of Fins recently. Maybe they're ok. Without Carr, this Raiders-Texans game is going to be terrible to watch; NHL ratings candidate.

*Forgot about Stafford's injury.

College is much more fun to watch and less predictable. NFL is like Champions League--much better athletes and execution, but season = group play and playoffs = knock out games and Super Bowl is often underwhelming.
