NFC is a total tossup. I guess Dallas should be the favorites. Dallas might also get the Giants in the divisionals.

Pats are prohibitive favorites in the AFC. KC matches up well against them and that's just about it.

Dark Horse: Dolphins: 9-1 in the final 10 games. Plus waxed the Steelers (likely 1st round opp) early in the season. Mat Moore is a solid QB.

NFC will be fun to watch: are the Falcons actually any good? Can Dak continue to impress and keep calm when it matters? Will Eli do the unthinkable a third time? Is Rodgers good enough to put together a few Ws with that terrible team? Will Seattle finally calm down and stroll through the competition?

Dallas has a terrible defense, so despite their pedigree, they'll go out at first opportunity. The Packers have about as much talent as the Saints, they're out quickly. The Falcons are terrible; always have been, always will be. The NFC is Russell Wilson's to lose, but I won't be surprised if Eli makes another go of it.

Dolphins can't win 3 on the road but they can take out the Steelers before they go out. The only reasonable bets in the AFC are the Pats, Chiefs and to a much lesser extent the Steelers.

I see the AFC as a Steelers >>>> Chiefs >>>> Pats >>> Steelers kind of thing. Chiefs can get to Brady rushing 4 (that's how you beat the Pats) and the Chiefs offense has been sneaky good. Pats can probably easily handle the steelers.

Dallas is the class of the NFC, but the Giants give them fits and that game is probably a tossup. Dallas's D actually isn't bad, they are avg. Falcons actually in hindsight aren't in that bad of a position. Their playoffs will be in a dome and probably not against a very good D. Seattle is so schitzo that I don't know what to expect from them. People are overrating GB. Yes they can beat the Giants at home but either a rested Dallas or Atlanta will light them up for 40+.

I like your AFC assessment. NFC is likewise, ATL >>> NYFG >>> Jerry Jones >>> SEA >>> ATL*

*GB has a puncher's chance

Dallas will be rested if they do play the Giants, plus the 2 games the Giants won was the 1st game by 1 pt and 10-7 late when Dallas looked tired. So Dallas will still be the favorites albeit slight favorites. Also Pats would be favored big against the Chiefs, I just think that the Chiefs can give the Pats big big problems.

SEA vs. Anybody is interesting. When the offense shows up the D looks terrible and vice versa. I really haven't seen much of a complete game from them but even with the injuries the talent is there to make a run.

College is much more fun to watch and less predictable. NFL is like Champions League--much better athletes and execution, but season = group play and playoffs = knock out games and Super Bowl is often underwhelming.

Compare the usual superbowl to last nights Rose Bowl. The stop start tedium of the pros against the shoot out in the College game. I know the USC VS Penn State game was an unusually high scoring and exciting game but the comparison stands. The big bowl games are more fun than the pro stuff.

The Giants are going to win. Vault me.

The Giants are looking like the same team that won it in 2013. And the Packers are looking like the same team that won it in 2011.

But it's our God-given right as the Green Bay Packers to lose in dramatic fashion in the NFC Championship, so still gonna have to go... Patriots over the Seahawks in the Superb Owl with everybody fawning over Brady being the BEST PLAYER TO EVER PLAY DA GAME.

Because the world is a cruel place.

In terms of the AFC, Texans to beat the Raiders and the Steelers to beat the Dolphins.

Pats play the Texans while the Chiefs play the Steelers. Pats and Chiefs advance to a tight AFCCG at Foxboro. Pats hopefully win.

As for the NFC:

Pack defeat the Giants while the Seahawks escape against the Lions.

Rodgers gets away with one against the Cowboys while Matty Ice and his Falcons take down the Seahawks.

The bad man from Green Bay somehow, again, pulls out a win and leads his team to the SuperBowl - scoring me 200 quid and a win-win situation in our house.

Did the Giants make the play offs lads?

So I can pretend to be interested for a bit again see

Unfortunately so.
