Oh the good old must not criticize player because he plays for Everton
That's clearly not what I'm saying.

Instead of just saying "he had a good game today, scored 2 and looked more confident, should be in the running for a Norwich start on merit" a lot of you seem more interested in just getting the claws out instead..

I just don't get it - shouldn't we, you know, support our players? Particularly when they do well?

Also Dave, you know full well my stance on Jela and that i personally have had enough of second chances etc, this isn't about that imo, its only a short whilst before he's off imo and im glad of that now, but if he's still here, with the boost of today plus the incentive of impressing any suitors, then use it as a chance to give Lukaku more than just a ten day rest and give him a bit more time to get himself recharged imo

The sooner he's gone, the better. I've never seen such weird opinions and wild optimism regarding a player before. He's average at best and has played one decent game against a crap defence. Sell him for whatever we can so we can bring a football player in.

An ending fitting for the start, you twist and tore our love apart...

Given the fact that Jelavic's only time on the pitch at GP is usually the HT knockabout with the other subs, do you think he thought he was taking part in the HT 'Hit The Bar' competition when he took that penalty?

Who are we going to get in, this window, who is going to hit the ground running?
For the £3/4m fee i would sooner keep him, hoping today will boost his confidence.
Martinez has said Loan or frees only this window, so who has he got in mind???

How did Jelavic do against Norwich,West Brom,Cardiff and Chelsea in the first 4 games of this season?

... and how did Lukaku do against Sunderland, Swansea, Stoke and Fulham? You know, recent, more relevant games?

It's now January 2014, not August/September 2013.

What I am saying is he has had a chance and did not take it

Why would now be any different?

How many chances does the man need?

I mean who could we get in?

It just impossible isn't it, Who on earth could we get that will score 0 league goals in 11 months

I say keep him until he's 70, He's bound to find his touch again some time
