I think, like the Straq, he just wasn't up the the required standard, but I would say a bad word about either because I reckon (IMHO) that they played to their best ability but, in Jelavic's case, he also lost confidence & might've begun overthinking his job.

Difference was though we all knew Straq was sh*te but we loved him anyway because he threw himself around the pitch time after time.

Jelavic broke a record set by Dixie Dean and then proceeded to play like he'd been cursed by a f*cking gypsy. It was thoroughly annoying knowing that he'd do absolutely nothing in front of goal week on week.

The daily Fibber reckon that the owner of Hull had threatened to up sticks if the F A don't allow him to change the name to Hull Tigers, reckon this could stop the Jella transfer if he doesn't get his own way ? Thoughts !!!

I don't think he needs either, does he? He's demonstrably allowed to work in the UK.

That's what I thought, I know he'll need to do all the documents about change of employment and what not, but there shouldn't be any hold up considering he signed a contract to work for Everton until summer 2016.

Croatians can live and work in the UK no problem - he'd already have been permitted an accession worker certificate long ago.

Seems the laws have been relaxed even more since then

You will need to apply for a purple registration certificate, which authorises you to work in the UK, unless: you were given permission to enter or remain in the UK before 1 July 2013

Jelavic has been in the UK since 2010.
