I think this deal was very good for both teams. Jela will score and become a shooting start there too. I dont mind. Good luck Jellyfish and Hull.

One thing I dont want, though...our fans starting to whine and moan after him when the slotting begins. Theres a time and place for everything/ for anyone. His time here was up, Bobby did the right thing.

Indeed, hope he scores a load of goals, nothing would make me happier, good luck Niki lad.

Amazing deal imo.I honestly don't think we saw the true Jelavic at any time here. He's not a goal a game striker as he appeared in his first 6 months. Nor is he as bad as he's appeared in the last 18 months.

If he can reproduce anything like his first half season form for us he'll be a good deal for Hull though as he will guarantee them premier league footie. The difference between that and a possible* relegation is well more than what they've paid.

Good luck to him let's hope he slots against everyone except us.

*I don't think Hull would have gone down anyway.
Agreed, wish him nothing tan the best at Hull.

Also agree on Hull not going down. Think they've have got a decent team this year.

SPORT Jelavic has thanked #EFC fans. He says the club will remain in his heart and he hopes they fulfill their ambitions this season.

Oh, Niki. <3

I miss him already.. :(

He said: “I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Everton fans from the bottom of my heart for their support.

“They gave me their backing from day one and never stopped believing in me, which is something I will always remember.

“To score on my full debut in that memorable game against Tottenham was very special, and the feeling of Goodison that night will remain with me. I believe the scoring run which I went on during those first six months is the real Nikica Jelavic and I’m pleased the Evertonians were able to see and appreciate what I’m really about.

“Everton supporters have a special way of making you feel like one of them, and even when I was not in the team in more recent times I always felt they were behind me.”

Bought him relatively cheap ion the Rangers fire sale and then brought in his best strike partner in Naismith, also as a result of said fire sale

Sadly, they never connected again as a potent strike force, although to be fair they were never really given the chance as Moyes always played Naismith out of position

He was always offside and he went down like a sack of spuds to a gust of wind

That being said, I liked him and I wish him all the best

My POY 2 seasons ago despite coming in January. He saved the season for us. Pity we had all the elements last year to get 4th last year if only he would have mostly kept up his form. He was the one player we had that we couldn't afford to lose the plot.

I think he'll do well there for some reason. If there is one thing we do well at Everton, its getting good money for somewhat lousy strikers.

Bob does too for some strange reason.
