I think he represents a lot of SPL players like Adam when he was linked with us.

I dont understand the drama about this to be honest. He is well known to Davey, we have been interested before primarily before he signed for Rangers and have scouted him extensively. He is capable of scoring 10-15 goals a season consistently which would improve us massively, additionaly he is a clever player he has the ability to find space on the trot, also in the box, he can finish, he is a good techincal player with good awareness and vision, he is also a decent assist provider. 5-6 million with add ons for a 26 year old - good deal for me and im not usually inclined to be fond of players from the blue side of Galsgow, but i think he will improve us.

Moyes is a big fan of his i know.

I'm still on the fence about this, not that Warnock is a certified judge of a Premier League player.

Have a horrible feeling that he's just another big striker. Not what we need when our only winger is going home in three weeks time. If we had a constant supply of balls into the box I'd be less concerned about the speculated fee. But we don't and I'm worried. The SPL is NO proving ground for success in England.

Is it? Hasn't there been cases pulled up in the past that have family members working a flanker at a club's expense?

It really isn't the issue whether Moyes would do that, the issue is that it's ethically suspect.

The issue is the cost based on the bandied about figures. £2-3M - fair enough, get him in and give it a go.

Anything approaching the £8M figure quoted? You're having a laugh.

The BBC reveal on Sam Allardyce and his son showed some suspect activity. I think this was before the regulation and licencing of football agents though.

Given that in the main they're scurrilous toerags only out to benefit themselves, maybe Moyes feels his brother isn't going to pull a fast one on him?

He plays best in a 442 system is the whisper...well so does any forward.

Seriously - big money for this journeyman is a mistake. No doubt Moyes brother Kenny is talking him up though.

I'm sure that's all true. It doesn't make the practice right though.
 
I hope we sign Jelavic myself, I like him and have for a while now, he reminds me of Berbatov in style, very elegant and laid back style with great feet and knows where the net is , if we had 20+ million to spend then there would obviously be better options , but in comparison to the others mentioned in Doyle and Rodalega (excuse the spelling) then he's the best option by far, I was very confident Demba Ba would batter goals in for whoever he signed for and I'am just as confident with this lad î￾￾
