He's a poor mans Berbatov.
I won't go as far as offending him by calling him Berbatov tbf.
Fee is agreed apparently .
Player terms had been agreed in principle , we appear to be pissing about on those however people involved are confident it'll happen
I'd take Berbatov.

Davek - Just interested...did you have the same sense of doubt regarding a certain scotsman who came south of the border to wear the royal blue. I'm talking about a certain Duncan Ferguson?

good to see you on here sheeds ,stick around mate the good lads outnumber the divs 10 to 1 on here ,passed your message on today soundI can assure you folks I havent crawled anywhere and certainly not out of any woodwork. I came on here because I want to assure people I didnt want arguments about what I was saying. Anyway ive enjoyed my day here.
The deal isnt done with Rangers although personal terms and the similar are all sorted. Always plenty of time for things to go wrong with Everton.
Regards
Its about opinions mate, i would agree if your talking about the likes of Dunfermline or St J, but i think the old firm are comparative to the majority of PL teams outside the top six. Id certainly take Forrest and Izaguirre. Interestingly the most vaulted players to be transferred DIRECTLY from SPL clubs to PL ones in recent years came from Hibs and Hamilton Acis. Then you have Adam who couldnt get a game for Rangers and pound for pound, certainly statistically was the best midfeilder in the PL last season. In recent years the likes of Larsson and Lambert went from the SPL to win Champions League and Premier league, Spanish and German title medals.
I think your over estimating what 6 -8 mill will get you in striking terms in the PL, i see this as an educated punt, its a step up for the lad and no mistake but he has answered any questions asked of him up to now. We have scouted this lad extensively from what i hear mate, even before he signed for Rangers and i believe he is high up on Moyes first pick list given the budget. Like i say id prefer him over the likes of Doyle, prob in the same price bracket.
I certainly wouldnt put it past Davey trying to turn him into Drogba like he does with all our strikers though.
Look at Arteta. Anyone who saw him play for us would think "nah". Even we thought he'd given us his best years. But he's excelled at Arsenal and is a bona fide first teamer.
Playing at a higher level can give some players another gear. Don't write him off.
