Whatever I post here will be stained on the scriptures of the vaults. So I'm going to edit this then bump it in the future to prove I was right about him being boss or gash.

Now now now then... what's all this tomfoolery about us signing a striker?
I hope this lad knows where the net is. He has to be given time to settle thou.
i remain apprehensive about this one.
Lets put it this way, if James Mcfadden was in the SPL would he score lots of goals... Yes. I believe any half decent premier league striker would get his strike rate in that division so I'm not going to look at his league record as encouragement.
Looking at his international record which is a more repectable level... he has scored 2 goals for Croatia in 17 appearances. 1 on his debut against Qatar and 1 against Slovakia... he has come on as a sub a lot but this isn't the best of records, far from it.
I dont know too much about the lad but he is largely unproven at this level and Straqualursi had a better record in a better quality division than he has just been in. Moyes must see some class in the lad but I think 8 million is a huge gamble. Its not likely that we will see money like that again for a while and is it worth blowing it all on a striker from the SPL with a respectable not fascinating goalscoring record?
I will support the lad and hope he does well but nothing that I see indicates that he will be any better than the strikers we already have, who like I said before are all capable of matching his strike record for one of the old firm teams in the SPL. The quality of defence in that league is on a par to league 1/2.
I dont think we will get relegated with the squad we have so we would probably have been better off saving the money for the summer when prices aren't so high and we could get someone who is less of a gamble for a similar price.
Is he going to be better than Saha was when we first got him?? I wouldn't think so, Saha was a world class player with a bad injury record, this guy is 26 and he hasn't shown signs that he's anywhere near that level. Even Yakubu when we first signed him was a proven Premier League goalscorer. With my knowledge about football which is pretty good, this seems iffy business :/
I've heard it's £6M.
5M plus addons. Not bad for a striker these days.
