yea something doesn't add up with the west ham bid.. maybe it was the player that rejected it. And now Rangers have been forced to accept lower with their financial problems at the last minute.

5M plus addons is a good deal for us if true. 7+ not so good.

From day dot he said that he dreamed of playing in the premier league so its not presumptuous to assume there was a clause or verbal agreement that allowed him to come to a premier league and that would exclude the Hammers. This would be logically cohesive with the premise West Ham offered significant bonus if/when they come back to the premier league rather than the full seven million up front.

I hope we aren't paying more that 5 mil and I doubt we are. I think he will do well for us and whatever people think of him they cannot deny he is a step up in class to our current strikers. With Manolas incoming and finally getting shut of Bily I think we can all agree this has been the best transfer window in a long long time?
 
My favourite part was when GOT broke and I couldn't get on after my earlier post. Can imagine blues everywhere shouting "ffs a striker, money..what.." and rushing on here in both delight and confusion.

I think that comparison is a little bit crazy just quietly.

Best of luck to him if he signs for us, he'll be wearing blue and wanting to do well for us.

Yes plenty to look forward to. He's a real presence in the box and definitely knows where the goal is. He won't get the same time and space in the EPL of course, but there is enough there to suggest that if you can get the ball to him near the goal he'll score. And you're right about the fee; it's £5-6m max. Don't know where people are still getting £8m from. That was wishful thinking and talking to their fans on Rangers' part.
