Warrington Rylands v Belper Town today (new ground for me) Belper already relegated presumably to the NPL Midlands. Belper looks like a good day out, plenty of boozers between the ground and station , pity they won’t be playing Cables.

They dropped out the NLN about 10 years ago didn’t they due to rising costs? Remember going to watch them against Maghull.

With the recent rise of South Sheilds FC, does anybody think they will make it into the football league before the decade is done?

Now they’ve broken their duck, and finally got out of the NPL (at the 4th attempt), they should be able to push on.

The problem with SS is that they were full time, amongst a side of Part time teams and still struggled to a degree. Going into the National League North, and with their budget (think AFC Fylde), they should be knocking on playoff places, especially with the top 7 making it.

I think the National League is a completely different monster, and their budget won’t be as good there and may not have it their own way there.

Was a good day out though, not sure their gates are what they’re claiming mind!
