Non League Football

Two ex league clubs today. Aldershot battle their way back from one down, scoring two in a minute to hold on for 2-1.

Nantwich v Cables for me today, competitive 1-1 draw. First visit there, tidy little ground but I'm no fan of the artificial pitches that seem to be in abundance at that level, even though I understand why they have them.
 
I'm in Germany. Saw a Bundesliga game yesterday but more interesting was the regionaliga game between Viktoria Berlin and Locomotiv Leipzig today. 5-0 to the home team. About a thousand there. A one sided ground but nice non league feel to the place.
 

Went to Sutton United v AFC Fylde yesterday. Bad v Worse. It was a game of two halves, both poor.
Nice ground and very friendly fans. Real family atmosphere. 44 hardy souls from Fylde in a crowd of 1600 odd.

Yes! I’m a net enthusiast and think the non-boxes add character to certain grounds. Witton Albion have lovely nets. Luton used to always have nice baggy non-box nets, but I see they’ve succumbed in recent years.

Leyton orient still had none box nets till recently. Only changed to the sterile box nets last year or so, probably told to by the FA. As you say just another example of the game losing its character and colour
