Non League Football

I’m a Widnes fan and they did bring about 100 or so for the away game against us.

Be interesting to see what happens if they can’t secure a home ground that meets league requirements. Skem were demoted for that reason.

Congrats on the new ground.

I can't see a good future for them now. Especially given the recent update.

The statement from col is amazing.

I go to bootle wherever I can so good on them for kicking them out.

I’ve never really took col seriously as a club.

It's almost like they're annoyed that the landlord calls the shots.

Bootle wanted them gone and they've for their wish.

Demotion almost certain, at this stage.

Haha yeah can’t wait for that, gone radio silent on it for a while though. Apparently was a dispute with the council over something really stupid like the size of the car park on the planning application, which has caused the delay. Just desperate to get out of the rugby ground and be able to actually stand and have a pint while watching the game.

Got a good away day with my local team in 2 weeks, they’ve reached the semi final of the welsh fa trophy and have been drawn against a team from Cardiff at their ground. It’s a long trek from here but we’re making a weekend of it so should be fun.
Which team is that mate?

Absolutely detest my visits there.

200 fans there, no bother, keep your ale in the concourse. Be good for Widnes to get their footing and build.

Widnes fans I've always spoken to been passionate about the side. Can't do any good playing at a soulless stadium.

enjoy! its truly what non league is about.

Bournemouth away for everton; groans all round. Non League away of equal measure, one big buzz .

It’s great, I used to play for the club then went into coaching and eventually managed the reserve side and we had great success. I’m now on the committee of the club so have an affiliation going back many years now. Away days are always great too, win or lose the journey back on the coach is interesting 😂😂

Can't say I'm in anyway involved with Marine, but can confirm coaches for Non league are just truly bizarre.

Win, lose or draw its just rocking

That sounds brilliant that mate, love it when you hear stories of people involved locally

I used to go and watch Anywhere But Liverpool FC when they first started, but when they started to find their identity I lost interest. Proper little RS wannabes. Surprised Bootle had them back after they fell out at the end of their first spell playing there.

Their next game against each other is scheduled for Easter Monday, venue to be confirmed I assume although it looks like it will be Widnes. I might head to that one.

From my understanding they will hire Widnes Stadium on a "Game by game basis", but it won't be a long term thing.

We're disgraceful when they started off, remain utterly dislikable to be honest.

From looking at statement from the NPL, it looks like they want them
To fulfil the fixtures then they'll be gone.

Such a strange dynamic to try be "Scouse Socialists".

FA Trophy 5th Round tomorrow and a big North London derby for me; Wealdstone (National League) v Hendon (Southern League Premier). A new ground for me although I've seen both sides before. Wealdstone clear favourites but Hendon are going well in their league and won at National League Oldham in the previous round.
