Non League Football

Welsh league team Caernarfon Town beat crusaders of Ireland tonight on penalties in the europa conference league qualifiers… Caernarfon (a part time team with average crowds of maybe 6-700) now play Legia Warsaw next round. That’s gonna be the biggest game these players wil ever play in their lives… fantastic for them.
I believe the away leg in Warsaw has to be played behind closed doors, following Legia’s fans displaying a giant banner having an offensive message aimed at UEFA. (This was following imposition of the ban mentioned below)

Legia’s fans are separately banned from away travel for 5 European games following the trouble at their game at Villa last season.

Not great for Caernarfon fans if they are unable to travel to Warsaw and wherever the home leg is played, keeping Warsaw fans out will be a challenge for the local heddlu.

Yeah I was reading up about this the other day. Could have been a big money maker for Caernarfon this too which would have set them up nicely for the season. Shame.

What a mess it was at Cables.

Manager left, manager returned.
Players left, some returning.
Chairman gone, budget boosted somewhat.

Organised chaos.

Believe Marine have taken one of their CBs. The midfielder they brought I'm from Bury was a triallist for Bootle against Southport.

All a bit chaotic.

Pottered down to Beckenham for a friendly against Badshot lea only for four kids to turn up with a drum. My middle aged grumpiness knows no bounds.
Ok in a teaming Serie a ground but not at non league football 🙄

There’s a bloke in his 70’s (at least) brings one to Prescot Cables games, it’s ok at home you can avoid him but away games when you want to stand with the other fans 🤬

271 at Marine to see a comfortable win against Huddersfield U23.

New signings Nathan Koehler & Regan Griffith both excellent alongside Jack Goodwin.

Think we might surprise a few people this season and comfortably survive.

Koehler is a great signing for you, really solid defender and a threat at set-pieces.
