Our attacking play is Champions League and our defensive play is Sunday league.

Is it? To both these.

Do our attack was so good we'd have buried all 67 chances we made yesterday.

And is our defence that bad? I can only recall 2 real chances Norwich had. One went in and so should the other.

I read a stat today, in every game this season where we have been a goal up, the next shot on target from the opposition has gone in, it's happened 12 times, unbelievable.

Horrendous. And quite probably true.

....I think the players realise they are good and I think the team realises they are good. For me we are too purist and too cocky. We need to be professional and clinical, the debate is how to make that happen.

It's so obvious to other teams that we are defensively frail when it comes to crosses or set pieces: basically any ball which is above 4ft.

Bournemouth understood it. Palace knew our frailties (from crosses and on the break) and again Norwich benefited from it once again.

There's obviously examples from earlier in the season as well. We battered them in the first half, but when we went in 1-0 I was worried.

Once Norwich had scored our whole mentality changed and from that point on we were on the back foot and looked frail.

People are talking about Top 4 prospects. Really? I'm worried Europa League is currently beyond us with the way we can't kill games off.

You could argue that we should have another six points from the last three games, which would have us on 29 points and in fourth place.

Even higher if you take into consideration earlier games. But we're not. Instead we're in ninth where we currently belong as we can't defend.

Leicester, Newcastle and Stoke will not be easy fixtures and then we're back into another tough run. Some people are getting beyond themselves...

Them players need concentration & discipline beating into them with a heavily sh!tted stick. They're really beginning to get on my nerves with the way they're haemorraging goals.

I knew Chelsea was a false dawn. I didn't realise we were that carp though. Oh, when our attacking clicks we'll score a few; but I won't be convinced - because the following week we'll be back to going a goal or two up & throwing the lead away...A-fur-king-gain. Against somebody shoite.

We are developing a style of play. We are much better than last year. The age of our team is being lowered. All positives.
We are not the finished article by any means but we are getting there.
I don't want Everton to be a Tony Pulis team, defend for 89 minutes and hope to get a corner because statically you have 1 in 4·235 chance of scoring from a corner.
In are becoming an attractive football side, let us see where the remainder of the season takes us.
I do wish Martinez would bring in a keeper capable of claiming a high ball. I think that alone would bring dividends

Only seen the second half and was pretty even game, a draw away is never a disaster like some on here make out but us not killing games off and wasting chances and conceding all too often shows it isn't down to our luck, I just think we're just not good enough to push on and achieve anything of note in the Prem as time and time again when the opportunity comes along for us to get ourselves into a decent position we inevitably don't take it. Can't say I expect anything different really I'm so used to it.
