Wouldn`t really say Distin was a one off, more that Defenders can usually get away with being a bit older. Richard gough was an exellent buy at the time. the clever ones use the experience and tricks they`ve picked up over the years to compensate for losing a bit of pace.

Yeh which is why I think he wouldnt care, as he wants to play for us. Still not so easy getting your family onboard especially when theyve been forgiving of certain indiscretions on his part.

I can't see him leaving the North-West when that time comes, neither can I see him going to Liverpool.
