Excepting it is missing £35m received which is where we would have been had it gone to plan

+£19m, just below Southampton

Yeah but we didnt so it dosent, besides if we sold Barkley early we could of bought someone else, we can speculate on what might of happened but the table is fact

I support the club, your annoyed, shouldn't be too difficult for you to understand.

I support the club too. I am also, at the same time, annoyed but not surprised we are going into the season with no recognised replacement for Lukaku. It shouldn't be too difficult for you to understand, although I assume you will struggle and I'll get another bizarre reply.

Support the club? All you seem to want to do is complain, most people would have been happy with who we've signed this Summer, allegedly you watch Spanish football,so Sandro no good?

We are writing in a thread complaining about how things are going at Everton under the new owner. Although I am sure it was opened originally to WUM a load of posters, and has been very successful, it currently is where a lot of people are discussing our failure in signing a Lukaku replacement. I think it was a failure so yep I am complaining mostly in here.

I haven't said I'm unhappy with our other signings, you have made that up. Apart from Rooney, I am happy enough with them, although have no clue how successful any of them will be. Early signs suggest Keane is the most likely to be a long term solid success for us IMO.

Supporting the club doesn't mean you grin and smile and clap at everything they do. Does it?

Sandro hopefully will do well. The main reservation with him is that as a season ticket holder at Barça, I saw pretty much every game he played whether sub or starter and saw nothing in him other than him being a hard worker and a decent finisher. Since then he has had one very good surprise season at Malaga and shown a bit more to his game. The hope is that it wasn't a bit of a one off and that he will hack it in the Premiership.

Like almost all of our signings, they are not from the top shelf and bring with them less of a guarantee they will work out. The squad is a big unknown for me, hopefully it all works out, although not rating the manager very highly makes it hard for me to be overly optimistic about that. Not signing a recognised leading front man to replace our too striker doesn't help on that front either.

Whoever we had signed they would not have replaced Lukaku,we don't have that sort of money (PSG City Chelsea Man U) do, and also his high standard of striker was not available in our price range (unless you think we should have been trying for Aguero?)o_O.So rather than go with the shouts to sign the first Carlos Kickaball I'm just hoping that his goals can be made up from midfield and when Ramirez gets up to speed in the Prem he should be worth 12-15 goals himself.

Well if you want to add an amount that never happened, allow me.

Take away the 35m from Ross sale, 10m from Niasse and then add the 90m we would have paid for Icardi and the 45m from buying Persic.

Proper easy this making stuff up, I love it.

You are still stuck on this idea of replacing with somebody as good as Lukaku or close to.....everybody knows that was a very hard task.

The failure was in not signing anybody at all when we clearly needed to, and the manager himself had said so.

Would Sandro be a Carlos Kickball, to use your expression?

Seems you missed the bit in my post "Whoever we had signed they would not have replaced Lukaku" And as I said I fancy Ramirez to score 12-15 goals, hardly a Carlos Kickaball?

You made the other stuff up,it is pure fantasy, there is no doubt about Barkley because Moshi was on the TV just after 11 telling us all about it. What you seem to be suggesting is that we'd have bought a player if Barkley had not changed his mind.

The fact is that, if Ross had not had that change of heart our net spend would have been relatively meagre despite no real Lukaku alternative. That Barkley money is not coming our way now, how confident are you that the Chairman will dip his hand into his pocket to make up the shortfall?

What people have a beef with is that we've spent £150m and ended up without a real alternative to Lukaku, that in a summer when Hernandez, Rodriguez, Gray, Wood, Gayle, Bony, Lorente, Ibrahimovic, Ichenacheo, and others were being traded for relatively small sums. Not that any of those would fill the boots but I'm sure we had the pulling power and resources to get someone/anyone, even someone like Charlie Austin or Shane Long would have helped us for a while.

It's feels like we prioritized badly by buying Klaasen and Gylfi and , to a large extent, Rooney. They all play in the same position. If we are reliant on sales for FFP reasons then sacrificing K or G for a forward would have been a better choice imo

Barkley + Niasse = 40 mil of sales on last day if they had gone through

Process that for 1 second

All that net spend wiped out
That's the trouble with publicly hanging players out to dry, makes them hard to move on. Koeman's approach did not get Ross to improve and could cost us £40m, Niasse included. I doubt either will be easy to re-integrate. Applies to Costa as well, Liverpool got lucky with Sakho but almost cost them as well.
