Most probably Leeds,but didn,t we play in Blue socks with a White tops to them...
or was that earlier than 69/70.

Gotta be honest, I've never been worked up about whether the socks are white, blue or black. We've had all 3 at different times and I liked the 1995/96 blue and black hoops.

According to Collins though Everton got away with a lot of the criticism. From what I can gather that Everton team were no shrinking violets and could put the foot in when required.

I cant praise that Catterick book enough, btw. It's excellent.

Absolute graveyard that ground for us - even the impeccable Labby made a rare mistake for Leeds 2nd goal - I went once as a kid when Joe Royle scored the fines back header you could wish to see to make it 1-1 still got beat 2-1!!!! - The away end was always full of chanting blues fans - Happy days even getting beat they were always great games to see Leeds were a very good dirty side!
