My mistake , was at that one behind the park end .:bye:

Regards Brian Harris, he lived on the Wirral, in Bromborough.
My mam worked at the dry cleaners on New Chester Road, its still there now. She found a pay slip of Harris's in his suit pocket.
£60 a week he was on. 1966, my dad was bringing home £16 from 40hrs. at Levers, so 4 times the normal wage.
Does that sound about right?
He also lived in Dodds Lane Maghull for a while circa 1965/1966. I played footy in his garden a couple of times with his son!!!! Never scouted me though grrr.

Haha. Small world! I was pretty young and only went there a couple of times. I think he probably was not there very long although Maghull was quite popular with players at the time.

Bloody hell it is a small world,I grew up in Maghull til we moved when I was seven mate,we lived in Grasmere Road,I had bronchitis as a kid and the Doc advised my mum and dad Maghull was quite damp,my mum used to chat to Sandy Brown waiting for me at the the school gates,Tony Kay,Roy Vernon,Alex Young and a few others lived around there too back then!!:)

Yes it was wasn't it. Somebody said Labone lived their for a short time also perhaps on this thread. I remember Gordon West lived close to our digs. Bumped into Steve Heighway who was dating/married a teacher at Summerhill primary school while we played school footy for Hudson School.
