He also lived in Dodds Lane Maghull for a while circa 1965/1966. I played footy in his garden a couple of times with his son!!!! Never scouted me though grrr.Regards Brian Harris, he lived on the Wirral, in Bromborough.
My mam worked at the dry cleaners on New Chester Road, its still there now. She found a pay slip of Harris's in his suit pocket.
£60 a week he was on. 1966, my dad was bringing home £16 from 40hrs. at Levers, so 4 times the normal wage.
Does that sound about right?
Didn't know Brian Harris lived on Dodds lane. I walked down that road plenty of times in my youth. He also lived in Dodds Lane Maghull for a while circa 1965/1966. I played footy in his garden a couple of times with his son!!!! Never scouted me though grrr.
Haha. Small world! I was pretty young and only went there a couple of times. I think he probably was not there very long although Maghull was quite popular with players at the time.Didn't know Brian Harris lived on Dodds lane. I walked down that road plenty of times in my youth.
