My Dad went to all the World Cup games at Goodison and went to Wembley for the final. My Mum says he didn't get home till the Monday.
How amazing that must have been.
I had been to Wembley with my Dad a month earlier in 1966 to see that unforgettable FA Cup win against Sheffield We'd as a 7 year old and my Mum waited on Wembley Way as she didn't have a ticket.
What a year!
