It's the correct thread as he was responsible for destroying a heritage feature of a Botanic gardens too costly to replace over a one-day strike, the growers won their court case, but could not return to work .....as he destroyed it claiming H&S wise it was not safe which was not the case......
It was a graded building .... you paid to enter - the plants were moved to the main corporation Nursery in Allerton where they never had the room or skill to look after rare collections of plants from all over the world not open to the public - to remove a feature of this calibre was a disgrace - as the photos I posted show - I went there many times as a student Horticulturist & still have a large coloured brochure about the set-up. It was also an education centre where practical exams were taken in Horticulture .....
