Yeah I remember Shaw St park there were seemed like sandstone hills we used to climb up. Great memories but we moved from there when I was 7 just after we won the league in 63 due to slum clearance.….know it well, good mate of mine from John Hamilton school lived very near you. Lots of my mates went to SFX juniors & I spent lots of time playing footy in Shaw St park not far from you. Good times.
Leaning against a pillar in the taxi club just now and that pic is hanging there, it says Neatherfield rd 1922 weird coincidence.

….Roscommon Street. There used to be a plaque at the bottom that said ‘Henry Morton Stanley’, the bloke who bumped into Livingstone lived there.
street footy must have been 'challenging' there with plenty of arguments about grttingthe ball backBeen doing my dad's family tree for some time now, huge amount of family who lived in the everton area in the 1860's to 1920's. Lots of the streets no longer around, but loved these pics of the steepest road in Liverpool (Havelock Street) which ran off Northumberland Terrace, where some of my lot lived.View attachment 203810View attachment 203811
