….started life in 1912 as the ‘Lime St Picture House’, sadly demolished in 2016;

I went there many times - they run films most days continuesly - the days when you would go in & watch a film 15 minutes in. Then watch the film - then watch the film up to where you first went in & decide to leave - not to the amusement of people sitting around you lol

My road is on that last map, in between a few bridge targets. So they had little icons to identify types of location, fruit for jam, pretzel for biscuits! - areas numbered 24,25,26 - Hartleys jam, Jacob’s biscuits and Nelson’s jam factories - Hit us in the stomach! Although Lucas was next to Nelson’s, they made automative parts (and armaments and ammunition during the war) so a key target.
I was always curious about the camouflage paint effect on the outside of Hartleys, obviously must have known they were a potential target.
