Old Photos Of Where You Live

I was there much earlier. Same time as Ronnie Goodlass,he really stood out. Saunders hoofed me because of my bad attitude. I thought I was a 6'2" version of Denis Law.🙄

….Ronnie was in my school but a few years older. I watched him playing for England Boys that year.

Tom Saunders was the one who signed me for RS, took my Dad out of work, came to my school headmaster and asked for permission for the rest of the day off. Met Shankley and Paisley at Melwood, then on to Anfield. Tom signed me at home that night (Everton called the next day, obviously Tom had been tipped off; true story).

If I remember correctly each school sent their best 4/5 players to Penny Lane, one from mine Les Grant was the son of Jacky Grant who played with Catterick and the brother of David who played in the Youth Cup winning team. Top player, but just wasn't interested. He made the final cut but didn't bother turning up any more.

Not a quiz, but a query; I found these pics can anybody identify the market?
The translation from German just states...
Liverpool Weekly Market 1969
I'll not mention my thoughts so as to not muddy the waters.

….terrific pics, certainly an established/regular market but I’d only be guessing when I say Gt Homer St or Garston.
