Steven Broadbent: "Credit to Tony Philliskirk, left Furman and Smith off and gave Oldham a massive boost when they arrived. Out-mastered Moyes."

hmm? they've been injured since the liverpool game and weren't fit, that's why they didn't start. why do BBC post such bellwhiff comments?

I know what a load of crap. Out mastered moyes!!. Every manager who has ever played us has done this. Not really a surprise.

Does anyone doubt even for a second that we´ll do these at Goodison? We should rest Baines for that match though, let Oviedo play left back. Baines is playing to many games at the moment.

rest him for what? we won't be getting top 4, shouldn't finish lower than 6th. These should be confirmed by the last 2/3 games, he can be rested then (not the derby obviously), if needed? we only have one game a week to the end of the season apart from this replay

Jelly had that chance which if he had slotted could have finished them off at an important time.

The croft/baines battle was excellent looking forward to that in the replay.

Like I said (and it appears it needs to be said again) but is anyone here really going to make an ass out of themselves and say that had we won the match, that Oldham were hard done by and really deserved something out of that?

Thought not.

Of course not. But we didnt win.

And Oldham scored twice past us and we scored twice past them.

A draw is fair.

I'm not too bothered by this result as some seem to be.

It just means we have another chance to get in the next round.

I'm actually a bit surprised that I'm not fuming. Usually I would be.

Yeah, it's pretty simple really. They scored twice and played well for two long periods, we scored twice and were the better team in the last 25 of the first and first 25 of the second. They definitely didn't deserve to lose.

I'm not since I expected a draw.

However...

...I am surprised that so many are saying we'll smash them at Goodison.

This is Everton we're talking about.

I think us just shading it 1-0 would be about right. We don't do anything easy. We're Everton.

This I can agree with.

We never really smash anyone.

Why do you care so much about neg rep ? Honestly ? Stop crying like a baby.

I hate seeing red on my posts cant be doing with the colour mainly, also find it very petty if you dont like someone's opinion just neg rep.

so again were people as understanding to howards 15 odd games without a clean sheet? no because he is a scapegoat and jelavic isnt.

Maybe because failure to meet expectations has become such big part of being an Evertonian?

7 & 6, i thought pienaar was busy. Not at his best, but best of a bad bunch. Maybe the rest of the team made him look better imo. But i thought he was one of the few who seriously looked up for it

Fair enough, all bout opinions. Pienaar also frustrates me alot when he chooses to shoot at goal when he has other good passing- options like today.
