Oldham v Everton. 16th Feb @ 18.00.

Oldham didn't play better than us, yes they were piling on the pressure in the last 10 minutes but that's what teams do when they're are behind.

Not to take anything away from Oldham but it was a foul, if that happened in the league the ref would have blown.

Pienaar was excellent, so was Fellaini, most of the players fought for the ball until the last 10 minutes, closing them down.
It was disappointing when we sat back at the end, why we did that I don't know, because we did it so well earlier on.
Moyes isn't at fault either, Jelavic missed a sitter, and brought Duffy on who is 6'3 to help the defence, a good decision I thought.

We were unlucky, we should have taken the chances we had but the their first goal was offside and it was a foul on Howard for the second.

But Well done Oldham.

Gibson and Neville both had there worse games ive seen this season.

But what can we do??? no one to replace neville with, the only option seems to be Jags at RB and Heitinga in the middle, and no one wants that.

Tought Oldham had better chances than us to score, we were lucky to get a draw. Tought Pienaar and Fellaini didnt do much good. Moyes should have taken Neville off, dont think it was a foul on Oldhams last goal.

I agree that Oldham had better chances, Neville should have been taken off and the foul for Oldham's goal but I disagree about Pienaar and Fellaini, they tracked back and stretched Oldham.
We should be having a go at Oviedo, why didn't he get into them when the final couple of crosses went in.

I'm just trying to make the distinction that those were the only two who did that most of the game, we sat back and didn't put pressure on them and we deserved to concede.

Pienaar and Fellaini gave the ball away far too often today. When we needed to keep possession we handed back the initiative to Oldham continually.
In the end we failed to impose ourselves through either superior skill or endeavour and scrambled a draw.
However, I still think we will beat them in the replay and go on to reach Wembley (twice)?

What a horrible day. I had 200 pound on Everton to win. After today i will never gamble again. i put 90 pound on arsenal and not only did my team lose, I lost my money more importantly. So I put 200 pound on Everton to gain that money back and watching the game, The last 10 mins took ages. You could see the goal was coming. Last 6-7 mins Everton settled and tried to defend a single goal against a team that could only hurt them in the air. So what do they do....back off and let them pump balls in the box.

90th minute one of their long balls reach Howard and instead of taking the ball and slow the game down, he limps it on first touch like it was a back back. Then 92th minute Distins has the ball and instead of just playing it safe...he lumps it straight to them. I felt sick when I saw the last corner as it was clearly going in.

You still did better than us and will finish them of next game. But all week the media has been going on everton aint the type of team that can be beat by long balls from league 1 side and how Moyes team is full of character. Truth is you are just like Arsenal, Spurs and Liverpool.....4 teams who try to out bottle each other

Agreed. I thought when Osman failed to nod that corner in at 2-1 and Moyes had his head in his hands he should have acted then. Instead it looked like we signaled 'what we have we hold'.

Hope you learned your lesson. Never bet on Everton. They are too unpredictable.
