It for me is a no brainer, IF Lukaku leaves we can't rely on a collection of gambles who may or may not work out but need to have one proven quality striker in this league - only three realistic options who could get you 15-25 goals over a full season would be for me Vardy, Benteke or Giroud

and it's harder to get a very good quality target man with the hold up play etc of Goiroud than it is to find a pace merchant like Vardy (and Vardy will age faster due to that being a big element of his game also), Benteke is IMO inferior to Giroud, would cost probably 20m more than him also and is tainted by injury problems and being at the rs

All 3 those would suit Koeman as he seems to like having the variety - but Sandro maybe can be that Vardy type who runs his socks off pressing with some pace etc and Giroud is plain and simple better and better value than Benteke

The financials are not important now, in the way they have been for a long time. We need to either keep or buy the best players who will fit into the team's new style of play. Making even a £60 million profit is meaningless unless we start winning trophies.

Sell Lukaku - Buy Giroud for 20m, another young striker with massive potential for 25-30m, Sandro for 5m and a top winger for around 30m.

That team would suit the managers style and system better - because frankly Lukaku doesn't suit him at all, and overall financially it makes sense also

I know mate, and most of the ones i have said are from abroad, but deffo think if Lukaku leaves then you can't just gamble on 2-3 hoping one will hit the ground running, but need to ensure one of them will bring an almost certain level of performance/goals.
