Transfer Rumour Olivier Giroud

If it's true that Giroud wants to wait until the first few games of the season to see how often he's played then we should move on to other targets as it's obvious he doesn't want to leave. Wenger will just play him more often the first few games if he wants to keep him as an option, which he's stated he does.

Shame, but I think we need to go for other options otherwise we'd going to end up with too little time to get anyone decent in.
I can understand any player wanting to see how the land lies at his present club, but in Giroud's case he must know how Wenger feels about him. It seems he is there only as cover if Sanchez goes.
To me he should cut the bull grow a pair and get himself another club to showcase his skills for the French World Cup manager.

Should just put the bid in right now, bring the situation to a head, need both him and Sigurdsson bedded in with at least a couple of games before the season starts

There is only the Sevilla game - assuming the 2nd leg against Ruz is definitely not an option.

Was thinking more about us cramming in a behind doors game against someone as well mate, which would be smart should be get both in

Giroud should be fully fit at least as he's played a good amount on the Arsenal pre season as well

Giroud will be used as a makeweight to complete Barkley's transfer to Arsenal.

That would be spunktastic. It basically means we would get the £30M for Ross and that is a lot better than I was thinking we would get. We would also get a player we desperately need.

However still can't see it. Wenger plays him just enough to keep him, the wily old fox.

Can't see Giroud happening if the Sanchez rumours are true. They would be mad to sell both and go in with an untested forward line.

If Giroud leaving Arsenal is dependent upon Sanchez staying, its going to be a rollercoaster all the way to the window closing. Maybe thats why Koeman said its difficult. I think Giroud fits the bill for a couple of years. But I just have this feeling we won't get him. I don't think he wants to leave Arsenal either.

the bigger picture is more important than the first two or three games. if he's waiting to see that doesn't mean "obviously" he doesn't want to leave.

yeah it seemed pretty certain he was talking about giroud when he was mentioning "difficult" etc.

I actually think the fee is agreed and it's just up to Giroud himself. He's decided if he leaves we are the destination but he's desperate to stay at Arsenal.
