Giroud is keeping Everton/Koeman sweet. He clearly wants to stay at arsenal but like to have a good backup option in this case us. He is going to drag it until last day of the window...I say move on to other targets...we need this year to have a good start of the season which means the team more or less done and ready for first game.

Depends what you mean by good enough: good enough to get in the current team -- yes; good enough to be in the starting XI of a team hoping to challenge for top 4 -- no.

This is my concern and I am a big admirer of giroud. The lack of pace in the team the other night was noticeable. Look at the improvement sandro made when he came on. The only real injection of pace we currently have in the squad to support Sandro is lookman (whose not ready to start) and bolasie (who is injured). However football intelligence on the pitch, (Rooney, siguardsson, klassen and giroud) can partly compensate for this.
