He was outstanding at Arsenal and for a couple of seasons and utd.

Why any decent footballer would want to play in Turkey while still fairly young is beyond me.

From what I've read on redcafe his injuries are really causing him problems and he might not be able to recover from them - a four year deal when you turn 32 next month and aren't sure how fit you will be to play anyway might seem like too good an offer to turn down.

Toby Aldereweld, first he was Atletico's then he was the Saints then Levy jets off and he's about to be Spurs then suddenly lawyers will be involved and he could be Saints again.

This sounds almost as dumb as Valencia signing up to buy Negredo for a set fee only to find out during the loan that he's crap and still having to pay a silly price for him.

Any idea how much Santi Mina cost? Could turn into a very good player that lad. Only 19.

Southampton are prepared to take legal action in their quest to secure Toby Alderweireld from Atletico Madrid, Sky sources understand.

Sky Sports News HQ reported on July 2 that Tottenham were also keen on the 26-year-old defender, who spent last season on loan at the Saints, and have made that interest known to the player's representatives.

However, the south coast club remain confident of signing Alderweireld permanently with reports that Atletico Madrid had failed to cancel the buy-out clause in time.

I think Hiddink is actually quite realistic and many on our forum don't want him. Terrific CV but seems to be on the decline and is certainly no spring chicken

I have to laugh at the Klopp rumours just so i don't leave myself disappointed when Steve Cotterill or Arry Redknapp turn up
