Other Clubs Summer Transfer Speculation

Listening to the girl in work, they are pretty much bringing a fair few youngsters through and pumping a lot of money into the development of them so it would be interesting to see how over the next 10 years this influences their approach to the squad
So far they seem to be bringing through primarily foreign players, Brandon Barker is the only one iirc that is a local lad, but hopefully that increases as the academy gets more established.

@Danny1894 any youngsters we should be keeping an eye out for this season?

Wonder if the Sheikh will allow a transitional couple of years when the older platers wane and the younger ones aren't there yet?

Fans are so impatient as well as owners that I can't see there being any patience for youth from the local area to develop when you can just buy a ready-made off-the-shelf finished article in Europe.

Iheancho was in Nigeria till he was 16 and only came over to City last year. Think there was another young player from Nigeria that came over at the same time, think he was called Yahya something or other.

according to Bluemoon Chidebere Nwakili was brought in for trials at the same time on the back of the U17 World Cup, apparently been loaned to Malaga for the next two years so probably had some visa issues and since he didn't make the preseason last year guess he's further behind in his development than Iheanacho.

Really tough balance bringing through youngsters whilst still maintaining results. As you say fans get so impatient when they are not instantly ready and managers have such short tenures that they are rarely rewarded for the risk of trusting the academy players.

Salah joining Roma 2 Million Euro loan, and purchase for 20 Million next season.

That's 23 million euros they will hare received = £16.2 million.

Making them £5.2 million profit on him!!!!

@BenDinnery: According to his 1st 2 clubs Mbemba was born on 08/08/88 but DR Congo FA list his DOB as 30/11/91. Anderlecht go with 08/08/94
@BenDinnery: The player himself thinks he was born in 1990. So in short #NUFC have agreed to sign 20-26 year-old defender Chancel Mbemba from Anderlecht

jesus christ ha

guessing he doesn't have a birth certificate?

If that's true then I'm not sure whether to laugh or shake my head. Why not just pick a middle point and say he's 23?

interesting debut

Lukas Podolski is doing his part so far to make sure that, if anything, his Galatasaray debut season isn't forgettable.
The German, who endured a miserable campaign last season split between Arsenal and Inter Milan, opened his account for Galatasaray against Celta Vigo. He also slapped Gustavo Cabral in the face and somehow avoided being sent off.

Good old Poldi. Loved having him at the Grove. The Galatasaray fans will love him over there.
