No. I genuinely don't.
£100m absolute tops for me.
He's injury prone and will have zero resale value. Yes - he will get a lot of
goals in the PL. But he won't be the difference in the CL. We don't have a problem
scoring goals (83 last season) and won the title with weeks to spare.
£400K a week - that's going to upset the dressing room for sure.
£160m - not for me.

What use is resale value? Did Aguero have resale value?

He scores a bucket load of goals, you buy strikers to score a bucket load of goals.

Maybe an Mbappe or Haaland is your preferred choice to get more years out of them but ultimately they all score goals and they all do the same job.

We paid £35 million for Augero and got 15 years out of him and 260 goals - a decent bit of business.
We'll get 3 years out of Kane - tops and get less than circa 100 goals.
Haarland for sure is my first choice and we'd get 10 years out of him.
No comparison for me. I'd much rather we bought Grealish than Kane.

If you buy Kane and it allows Chelsea to get Haaland and Madrid to get Mbappe you've sort of played yourself for the next 10 years.
