Maybe some will. But I doubt in 2009 people thought Madrid signing Ronaldo would set them up for a decade of dominance.Because no other superstar strikers will come along in the next 10 years?

We paid £35 million for Augero and got 15 years out of him and 260 goals - a decent bit of business.
We'll get 3 years out of Kane - tops and get less than circa 100 goals.
Haarland for sure is my first choice and we'd get 10 years out of him.
No comparison for me. I'd much rather we bought Grealish than Kane.
He's a baller for sure.Sancho to Man Utd, think he is overrated to be honest
No doubt he's great for the brand. Having the England captain in your team is a big deal.City and Guardiola want to win the CL in the next 3 years (next season to be exact)....Kane is the finished article now, and he's zero gamble...if they have that kind of money to spend to build their franchise, then its a smart transfer...
Kane has easily 5 years now at his peak...he'll smash Shearer's PL Goalscoring record....and help City dominate like Man Utd did in the 90's...
This is all about building City's brand around the world as the biggest Club in the World...
Did I imagine the 4 European Cups?Did they have a decade of dominance?

He won't obviously won't retire but he will past his best IMO.Kane is retiring at 30? You'd best let him know pal.
@PaulPowersTashWhilst good I don't think it's utter dominance when you only win your own league twice in 10 years.
Nah you missed the point. If Mbappe is on Madrid they become favorites instead. But they can do that with Kane so it's a moot point.

To be very honest - no.
