50 million is a steal in my opinion, hes quality, he is 21, if hes still there in 7 years time he will be 28 and likely have a higher resale value. Clever business.
Its like signing Rooney for 28 mill all those years ago 04-17, how much a year did he actually cost them per year, brilliant business in context via how many trophies.
Its completely opposite to a deal like they did for Sanchez, that was poor.

Wouldn't disagree but you could also argue that United might well have a similar level player in their academy who simply hasn't had a look in because that's not what they do

This really, which has pretty much been my point with the “we paid too much for Gylfi brigade” all along.
If we get 4 seasons out of Gylfi its been very good business. Less resale value of course (if any) but we will have had a top player at his peak for approx 11m a season.

Looked like he was going to sign with Celtic, but then turned down the deal (Leading to a primo passive aggressive Tweet from Celtic) and then went down to Norwich as he was looking to sign there. However, next thing everyone knows he's back up at Celtic to sign for them, but then he apparently failed his medical, meaning it was possibly off, but it looks like it could be on again
