Not to piss on peoples parades but having actually seen this bloke play a fair bit, he is not really much of an improvement over Kone IMO, bang average last season, been goo this year but not exactly standing out as a exceptional player when watching him, quite strong, decent finisher, decent pace, decent in the air, overall at this level he looks a decent player no more, think in the premiership he will fail big time.

13.5m if thats true is an absolute joke of a transfer, this will go down as one for the Bobby haters to hang him with - can vault me on that along with my last assessment of a player from Russia in McGeady

For those saying he is a out and out striker, he's played this season in Russia their, before that he was getting played out on the wing more often than not, basically Mark II Kone

Thing is, its worth the admission fee to watch players like Barkley,Deulofeu and Lukaku....when spending money on players they should be of this calibre.

This appears to be a "Lennon" type signing to me...not excited about it at all.

How can he just have 4 caps for senegal if hes going to be good enough for the prem...

Cant believe Spurs are getting Dembele for £6mil and Embolo perhaps available on the other side for £20mil ish and we do £13.5mil on a relative unknown unproven 25 year old....

When this was first rumoured a few weeks ago i took it with a pinch of salt and assumed it was nonsense....

Weird though Mourinho seemed to be scouting him.

guess we will have to see.

Trust me, there is absolutely no chance on earth Mourinho would have scouted this bloke mate, regardless of what media said

I'm curious to know why you say he was "bang average" last season, he scored four goals and had three assists from just thirteen Premier Liga appearances. An average of a goal every 193 minutes, pretty much a goal every two games which really isn't a bad strike rate. I do wonder as to why he only made thirteen appearances that season. I won't lie, I've never even seen him play but statistically he did well from the limited minutes he had.

As for McGeady, statistically he wasn't doing anything very exciting. He was a player Martinez must of liked, was available mid-season and cost next to nothing. No Evertonian was banging on about him or even wanting to sign him.
