Signing a player in January and having to wait "until next season" to actually see him at anywhere near full potential. Makes you wonder why we didn't just wait until the summer to sign him. What were we worried about, someone gazumping us?

think he'll start one of the games before the semi-final, if hes able to play 2 games in a week for senegal he should be capable of starting before end of the season for us.

I don't see why we have spent 13.5 million on basically a poacher, a good finisher who will finish things in the box but is not a winger or a midfielder and is no lone striker. If Lukaku leaves there will still be no place for Niasse as a starter with just 1 striker.

The more you read about Niasse only being 60% fit or whatever the heck it is the more absurd the Hammers substitution seems.

Why on earth would you stick a slightly better than half fit player on the pitch when you are already down to ten men?

We were effectively reduced to nine and a half men that day.
