Ahem, I hate to be pedantic here but the Romans couldn't have enslaved Saxons in Britain as they weren't here. They arrived with various other Germanic tribes,including the English after the Romans left. Other than that good post.

I don't want a manager with emotional intelligence .... ferguson was bully and didn't not give a single eff word who he upset, the result? The most decorated manager in history..
We had Moyes who was more of a ferguson (in the way he made it known he was in charge)
Then bobby who was the opposite
Now we are back to a "tough love manager"
And tbh the results seem to improve when the players have the fear factor.
We have had an emotional chairman for 20 odd years and he can't seem to get results either..
Seems that unless your ruthless and treat it as a business then, you have less chance of succeeding imo

Point is, since since the end of 2008/9 we haven't finished above either of UTD or Spurs unless they've been so bad that they've sacked their manager during the season, that season was 13/14.

No, I am definitely right.
The Romans, for example, took Saxon and Celtic captives from Britain and Frankish and Germanic people from Gaul back to Rome as slaves.
The Vikings enslaved many Anglo-Saxons.
People were commodities......they were regarded as pruck by conquering armies and their generals used them as a means of paying their men.
Slavery in itself was more to do with economics than racism.
If you were in a village which fell foul to Classical era, Dark Age or Medieval besiegers you were either slaughtered or enslaved.....no matter what colour your skin was
North African ships sailed to England and took Cornish slaves!

Wrong. Ferguson and Moyes (for the most part) were both judicious in their criticism of their own players and never publicly rung them out to dry on an individual basis.
Koeman is a different kettle of fish altogether. He is arrogant and aloof. The arrogance would be bearable if he'd earned it as a manager, instead he's been chased out of some of the jobs he's had and in 17 years as a manager won nothing of note.

Let's compare that to a manager you do rate in Martinez ........ hold on, not really worth it as he's barely won anything. lol
Didn't know RK won Copa Del Rey, that's pretty impressive given how dominant the top Spanish clubs are domestically. Anyway I agree with the previous point, RK decided Niasse was nowhere near good enough for Everton (which everyone can agree on) and I for one am glad he didn't waste another second thinking about him. He is fully focussed on the first team squad and the players that matter, Unsy is doing a great job with the young lads and those not good enough for the first team so why bother!
