There was no foul, the ref did not blow so no foul. If he had then it would have been a pen from a foul and a red card job. Has to be foul given first and foremost.
I don't claim to be a ref or an expert on the rules of the game but on many occasions I have seen referees book players for things where the referee has played an advantage and when the ball goes dead long after the fact. On those occasions no foul was given and yet a penalty was applied. Why would this not be the case in this example?

Lukaku does it to a much higher level. And I'm no Lukaku fan, but he's a tremendous goalscorer - whereas Niasse is an acceptable one. That, and Lukaku had the capability of running a ball with explosive power and craft goals out of nothing on the counter on his own; Niasse doesn't have that.

We don’t really know what Niasse is capable of goal wise. He’s playing in the poorest Everton side I can remember for a long time yet his goals to minute ratio is very high. He’s been swapped in and out by different managers and has had different players around him in different formations. Lukaku played ahead of pretty much the same settler side for 4 seasons with Barkley and Deulofeu providing the ammo.

I’m not claiming Niasse will be on a par with Lukaku, but he seems to have a goal during knack yet people seem more concerned with his first touch. DCL has a lovely first touch but can’t hit a barn door.

Deserves a good run, no 2 ways about it.

How come when Oumar has a bad first touch it’s because he’s rubbish despite the fact he scores goals yet when Rom was called out on his bad first touch it was apparently more than ok because he scored goals.

Tbf, there is something visually unusual about the way Oumar plays football.

Lukaku's poor touches had a logic to them, they bounced more or less in the direction you thought they would. Oumar's poor touches birth a cosmic divergence of realities where the ball exists in an infinitude of states, collapsing only under collective observation into a single possibility that somehow ends at his feet.

Yakubu
Lukaku

It's all about the name with strikers. We need to find a goal scorer with a name like the above (must end with 'u' and have a 'k' somewhere in it).

I don't think I've ever wanted anyone to be more successful with us than him. Both for his individual rewards for his spectacular attitude and for our team's overall need for wins and points.
