Ha! My outrage lies more with the punishment (should be the same as if the ref actually caught him diving) and the fact that many more egregious examples have occurred since the start of the season without any action being taken.

Well, as long as you feel outraged at sommat, that’s the main thing ;)

Whether people think he dived or not, I hope we all are in agreement that it is totally outrageous that he has copped a two match ban when the offence would have ONLY warranted a yellow card at the time and in view of the fact that there are more blatant examples of diving occurring on a regular basis in the EPL

Do it for Oumar......COYBB

Oumar should sue the FA by making him an example they are essentially saying he's the first person to dive this season and they can prove it by rejecting an appeal. They are saying Oumar is a cheat and the only cheat in the league that deserves a two match ban when simulation is common place upon 'contact', its utterly laughable. The charge is totally inconsistent and based on media hype and Dann squealing like a baby. This system will be over turned as soon as/if a big name player is charged and his lawyers get on the case pointing out numerous other cases and the fact that it calls into question the players character when the reality is most players go down if they feel contact these days. This system should only be for stonewall dives where the player is nowhere near another player not subjective occasions like this.

Know what you're saying mate, but at the end of the day it's all supposedly about getting diving out of footy, so IMO, also banning a player who has dived, but got a yellow card will make sure that that player won't do it again, because the yellow card is hardly a deterrent for him.
Completely agree, but the same standard should be applied for players that get yellow carded for elboing or other misbehaviour. Why can't they be punished afterwards if they have been yellow carded by the ref during the match? Should really change that stupid law

No problem at all here that the FA are trying to clamp down on this sort of unsportsmanlike behaviour. Just wonder what the odds were for an Everton player being the first ever PL player being suspended for blatant diving/conning the referee, after all cheating seen over the years by the likes of Suarez, Gerrard and virtually all Chelsea players born after 1977?

Simply had to be like this, hadn't it?

Totally agree that it's actually good that the FA decided to clamp down on the diving. I said it earlier though, it's only going to work if the FA are fair and consistent, the problem is though, we are talking about the FA here.

He felt slight contact and he went down, it was a dive, you can point to contact all you want, the fact is that he deceived the Ref into giving a pen, its cheating and we have been rightly punished for it.

I mean when the Panorama story leaked you gave Moshiri hell for "dragging the clubs name down" and yet here you are defending a diving little snakerat.

SMFH

If that Kopite grass stepped into anyone's path then they'll be deflected from their line of pursuit of the ball and the chance will be gone. There was contact and Dann was punished for it by a pen being given. Doesn't matter the strength of the force.

If someone gets done for an affray in the street have the coppers wondered what force the punch thrown was or do they say someone punched someone and their getting cautioned/charged?

Wow, I thought i was reading RAWK for a minute then.

He won a Pen by diving, now he has to take his medicine.

Totally agree mate, just because a ref has seen an incident and given a yellow card shouldn't mean that the FA can't step in afterwards, but the rule that because the ref has dealt with it the FA can't do anything retrospective, it's daft.

It is no coincidence that this crusade against diving has gone up several notches since the Brexit vote

Diving has always been considered an alien concept to us honest English folk, by the MOTD talking heads.

Introduced into these shires by Carlos Kickaball and Johnny Furrener.

Divil the bit you six toed Chrysalids.

Lee Wun Pen was doing it for City and Derby County long before we went into the Common Market

Not surprised.

Shame we don’t earn the treatment we seem to get by being a bit West Ham or Leeds or have marauding fans or players who attack ball boys.

You’d think we were owed the odd good decision from these panels given our rank bad luck with refs.

And you got to wonder when we will next get a penalty - especially if Oumar is involved.

Just down to perception then isn't it?

So, in future, a player's weight and speed attributes and angle of contact he experiences will all have to be calculated to precision to determine if a fall to the ground is 'real' or 'simulated'.

It's an arbitrary piece of BS...and if I were a cynic I might suggest it's here because the FA are a bunch of stone age incompetents who want their many deviancies masked and overlooked by stuff like this which keeps the serf's from focussing on them.
Pretty much like the present "government" then
