That is no different to a player getting sent off for a foul when it wasn't a red, it happens sometimes. The red card would just be changed. At least this way the ban afterwards would make sense if the ref didn't call it a dive at the time when it was.
How often does that happen with the big boys, whereas making it non-negotiable for diving could put refs under too much scrutiny

If I ran the club media I'd put out a video every week from now on of all the dives that go unpunished every week. Put the hypocrisy of this whole thing on full display

Ha we’re Everton mate, we’re utterly pathetic, can’t even take a tgrowbin properly let alone take on the FA in a media war. We can’t even appoint a manager FFS.

It may do but that would properly stamp out diving and would make the additional ban if found to have dived and the ref missed it make sense.

No, it would take one ref to make a mistake and end up getting demoted, to ensure that every dive went unpunished during the course of a game. Why set yourself up when “experts”can decide you were “deceived”.

One of the advantages of being old is we didn't have to put up with all this crap. We went to a game, enjoyed it or not. Went to the pub, discussed, argued, on to next game. You will be glad to know this is my last post.
It’s unfortunately one of the worst things as well, because we can remember when it was so much better

You mean like Rodwell who got a straight red when he wasn't within a foot of Suarez who screamed like a stuck pig and Atkinson believed it ?

That’s not what I said I said contact doesn’t constitute a foul.

What you are conviently ignoring or perhaps not factoring in is that from the penalty Everton equalised and Palace were denied two points.

Utter nonsense the penalty was scored with more than 80 minutes left in the game plenty of time for either side to win they were denied nothing.
