..spot on. When we lost that Derby at home to the last minute Mane goal, Lukaku’s performance disappointed me so much. We were under the cosh and he watched. He should’ve gone to war with the CBs and relieved pressure. It was the type of game where he should’ve come off thinking he did his bit.

It shows how bad the strikers are at the club, that Niasse gets credit for putting a shift in and looks like he actually enjoys his football. His determination to play, following his treatment by Koeman is admirable. However if we are seriously to contest for champions league places or trophies. We need better quality than niasse. Harsh but true unfortunately.

Even surrounded by a better calibre of player at united, he still goes missing in games and looks half hearted with the effort he puts in. It’s what stops him from being labelled world class, as he has all the attributes to be a world class player, but lacks the desire.

Niasse and Tosun did very well when you take into account the service and minutes played. Midfield and defense are more important atm.

Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good. His goal to minute ratio was stupid this season considering the supporting cast.

He is fantastic for those moments alone. See, folk would have more love for Bolassie if his miscues and bodged tricks worked more by luck thsn judgement 90% of the time.

I really can't hate on Niasse. Goals go in, he makes me chuckle. A shining light during our season of turgid darkness. Read into that what you will!

Don't really get all the abuse that's aimed at him, re his skills, his touch is actually pretty decent, not without a bit of craft and as everyone has pointed out, works hard. Probably better as a sub but still far better than many people paint him.

He gets credit for his goals to game ratio not because he runs around a lot.

I think when he first arrived he was just horribly out of shape. He looks to have bulked up a bit and worked on his fitness.
