i think koeman has been a tad harsh with some of things he's said to/about niasse. He should have at least given him a chance in some shape or form, but this is a good decision imo. He won't be seen anyway, he'll play about as much as kone did last season.

FREE OUMAR NIASSE

Guaranteed he will score on his season debut at some point. I'm as sure of that as anything in my life. It's karma. The lad had suffered more abuse than any Everton player in my memory, and he just keeps on smiling and waiting for his chance.

I have a soft spot for the lid after dealing with the Lukaku's and the Stones' and the Barkley's and their sense of entitlement. We should all be rooting for the Big O and quit trying to prove how boss we are at footie knowledge.
Said it before but I'll say it again he's got the Stuart Barlow factor; or Dennis Straquilasi (can't spell that!) for the younger generation, for me I have and will hope and will him on because he's just got the "you can do it!" enigmatic character that you want to succeed. He's the fat kid in the egg and spoon race!

Would really love him to do ok and score a few goals. He deserves the chance no matter how it works out and i for one am rooting for him. Certain players at the club could learn a lot from his attitude and respect and particularly the unappreciative blurt that thinks its cool and acceptable to cost the club that trained and made him, millions of pounds just because he doesn't like a manager being honest and critical of his poor performances.

Good on you Oumar. Could have been a right arse and gloomed and glummed when Koeman exiled him to coldest Siberia, when he came back from a poor loan spell at Hull after they declined to sign him, or when he was put on the clearance rack during the summer transfer window. He went to the U-23's and trooped it out. He may only be getting a chance because Everton majestically failed to sign another striker but Ron was singing high praise, despite his Dutchiness, for Niasse.

Make something of it.

He was hardly poor at Hull (by their standards anyway). Spent only half a season there and was already their joint-top scorer (if you exclude Snodgrass who chose to rot at West Ham).

It is. Fully understand why Niasse isn't included now. Cheers mate.;)

Still can't figure out why Connolly is included tough.

'A List B-eligible player is one who will be 21 or younger on January 1, 2018 — and has spent at least two years registered with the club. In Everton’s case, Mason Holgate, Callum Connolly, Jonjoe Kenny, and Tom Davies are List B players.

Again, note that teams may have as many List B players as they’d like — which is why Arsene Wenger’s ArsenalEuropa League squad has 42 players in total!'

List B doesn't have a limit so it's no harm to put Conno on there (in case we are even more short of options at LB than we are now). I suspect there should be a call-back clause in the loan agreement with Ipswich anyway.

He can score great goals - he's fast- he holds the ball well when I have seen him in the under 23s!

...he's more of an athlete than a footballer. He'll find space in the box and get a goal or he'll run onto something played over the top. He'll struggle joining in with players like Rooney, Klaassen and Sigurdsson. Being polite, apparently this is very evident in training.

He is what he is, a £6m footballer in the current market.
