2s Vieira/Petit Keane/Scholes
3s Essein/Makele/Lampard Silva/Fernandinho/De Bruyne

Carlo needs to find some players of this calibre. Personally I like a 3 as it means we could possibly still use Gomes.

I think its a process.

They talk about areas they could improve, so they both decide they want a midfielder, Carlo tells Brands what he wants that midfielder to do, does he want him to hold, does he want him to creative, does he want him to sit, does he want him to get up and down and no, we wont get a midfielder that does it all, all players excel at certain things. So Brands goes away, talks to his scouts, has a look on Wyscout and checks his notes.

Carlo will also give Brands a few suggestions, Brands will have a look and together they make a decision.

He then goes back to Carlo and says he's got 2 or 3 players that fit the profile. Carlo then has a look on his ipad, checks all the scouting videos, checks his stats, has a look on youtube and all that jazz. Then Carlo says I prefer X player and if not Y player. Brands then goes and talks to the club, the players agent and the player and tries to get the deal done. If the deal isn't happening he moves on to player Y.


Then they repeat the process for other areas.

As for as sales Carlo will tell Brands who is and isn't part of his plans, then Brands will attempt to get that player punted ASAP.

But as I keep saying, the buck stops with Brands, he's the 1 who has the final say, he takes all the credit and all the blame.

I see a different scenario. Carlo, Brands and Mosh are invited to senior management meeting, they enter the room only to find it is in almost total darkness, except for the far corner, where a shaft of weak light falls upon the large outline of a threatening figure. “I am one of the richest men alive, I can eat and drink the rarest delights regardless of the cost, yet you three have me drinking bleach and eating humble pie. Sort it out or the next thing I eat will be human flesh, your flesh”. Queue lots of nervous farting and a little wee, then the lights come full on and nobody is in the corner anymore, just a very large dent in the seat of the leather armchair.

It's the formation of his layout by Carlo - starts with 2 midfielders one who has a job to run - Gomes obviously not over that horrific injury - the passing backwards to Pickford most of the time that get me - then he puts 3 in midfield, and we improve only slightly & commentators rate he knows what he's doing?

He has to work with what Brands has given him plus the legacy of the other DOF signings under different managers - as the saying goes you can't make a silk purse out of a cows ear .......or plY that style of football big Duncan played more direct 3 wins one draw , but he had a slightly stronger squad .......the Gomes injury was a big blow ......

Honestly mate Beni couldn't get a game at Wigan. We are playing the only viable other option (Gordon).

I know. It makes me quite sad too.

I mean, I don't know how he can possibly look at the performances of literally any midfield player and say "right, I trust this player" bar Gordon who has been a nice revelation so far.
