Vaughan is twice the player Owen is. The little Welshman is trading on his past reputation.

reckon the mail have been lurking on g.o.t. reidy (think i might start reffering to myself in the 3rd person like maggie thatcher and johnny mad dog adair, and its not my real name anyway) threw this into the mix first.:D

i would be more than happy and if johnson went in the other direction it would be even better

Why sign a player that we'd be lucky to get 1 game out of 3 for? Ultimately, he's not the owen of 5 years ago.

Lads, lads, lads.

Signing Owen for the right fee would put us on the map big time. It wouldn't half signal intentions and he wouldn't half be determined to prove his ability.

Not a chance it'll happen though.

Owen has a huge reputation...... he'd sell a fair few shirts and increase Everton brand exposure abroad.

The only signal it would send out to me is that we're the new newcastle, throwing big money on past it players.

He does seem a bit injury prone which has hampered his progress. In spite of that, he seems to be playing some decent football lately.
