Just look at Sahas goals v West Ham and West brom. That's what I mean by making something for himself. You will never, ever see Owen doing that.

1998....classic.....i think Owen is probably a good move if he is on a free with no signing on fee but to have to get your memory going back 11 years to think of anything he has done outside the box isn't really a strong arguement is it now?

Because his contracts up at Newcastle, and we are probably the best prospect for him.

People dont understand this - people think he is "money grabbing", but if someone offered you 50k or 120k a week - which would you take? Always the money, but when he doesnt have a choice, he will come to us.
 
How do you know what his choices are? He could have numerous offers - which im sure he will.
 

No one will be likely to offer huge wages for him though, too much of a risk, so we can compete for him in wages and unless Liverpool go in for him we're the best side available to him unless we start selling all our players

To be fair, it was a risk buying Owen at anytime in his career.

Well. Ish.

You say "Unless we sell our best players".

If we sold our best players, you make it sound like we wouldn't be replacing them.
 
But if we replace them the players replacing them need to be better and of a similiar or younger age and for less money.... Find a CB better than Lescott thats interested in signing for us, is around 26 or under and would cost less money and not affect the team spirit
