Lottery cash has grown in size in that time. The athletes have been in a boom industry so that makes zero sense as an argument.

GB athletes are financially doped in comparison with other nations apart from the US where the college system has a lot of money thrown at it.

I know. But the more seed you throw down the better the chances of fruition. And if you have a seed bed that's not producing then you discontinue it and try elsewhere.
